Food Services Training Begins Today |
|
(Hagåtña, Guam) As part of the Guam Public School System’s efforts to comply with the Child Nutrition Program and regulations by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), all employees involved in the preparation and/or services of food will be attending one of two training sessions conducted by instructors at the Guam Community College (GCC). Managers and cooks will go through a week-long training from August 1, 2005 to August 5, 2005 to receive Food Protection Managers’ Certification while all Food Services staff will undergo a four hour course on Food Service Sanitation Training. The training and certification is a collaborative effort between the agency for Human Resources Development, the Governor’s Office, DPHSS, GCC, and the Guam Public School System. Funding for the Food Services training was provided through the assistance of AHRD and the “Incumbent Workers Program Grant” .
