The Board is responsible for formulating policies and guidelines relating to all aspects of educating Guam public school students. With the recent passage of Public Law 26-26, nine (9) Board members are elected through district-wide elections at each General Election for a term of two (2) years. The first Board Members were elected in the 2002 General Election in November. In addition, the Board consists of one Student Non-Voting Member and an Appointed Non-Voting Member.
