Mini-Grants

Purpose of the Mini Grants

The purpose of the Teacher Enhancement Mini Grants is to provide each school the opportunity to enhance the skills of its teachers through professional development opportunities needed to increase student achievement. The purpose of the mini technology grants is to provide each school the opportunity to increase student achievement by enhancing teacher quality through access to technology in the classrooms. The mini grants may be used to purchase hardware, software, and technical assistance/training to enhance teacher quality.

The maximum number of mini grants per year is 37 with the amount for each school equal to a baseline amount with an additional amount based on school enrollment as of September 30.

Eligible Applicants

All K-12 schools, including the Alternative School, are eligible to apply for a mini grant including the Alternative School.

Duration

The grant period for this year will be from January 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006. Proposals may be submitted for the three years subject to availability of funds.
