Goal 6: To implement a
standards-based Professional Teacher Evaluation (PTEP) through
standards-based supervision of teachers to ensure the provision of
high quality support to increase student achievement.
Objective 1:
To revise school administrators’ certification requirements.
Outcome:
Guam Education Policy Board (GEPB) will adopt new certification
standards for school administrators.
Measure:
Administrator Preparation programs reviewed for alignment with
adopted standards.
Objective 2:
To implement a standards-based Professional Teacher Evaluation
Program (PTEP) that is aligned with certification standards and
includes rewards and incentives for performance.
Outcome:
Adoption and implementation of amendments to PTEP that are
standards-based measuring effects on student achievement.
Measure:
Revised PTEP implemented in at least 50% of the schools, parent
satisfaction survey, successful applications for the National
Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), and assessment
of student achievement.
