PREVIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Youth Relay for Life '04: Miguel G. Bituin, III (Member) was the overall chairperson for the logistics, including the set-up, clean-up, getting chairs and tables, putting up posters, and measuring tent space. This was held on April 02-03, 2004 at 7am to 7pm at George Washington High School Field.

Habitat for Humanity: Helped with the rummage sale that was held on February 27, 2004 at 4-8pm and February 28, 2004 at 10am-1pm at St. John's.

Health Fair: This was associated with The Leo Club which we helped with the Annual Diabetes Awareness that was held on February 14, March 13, and April 10, 2004 at 9am-2pm at Micronesia Mall, Guam.

Park, Road, and Beach Clean-up: These activities were incorporated with our Trash-A-Thon fundraiser which we picked up trash to make our island of Guam beautiful. These were held on October 08, 2003; December 17, 2003; March 06, 2004; and March 15, 2004 at 6:30am-9am.

Guam Diabetes Association: We participated in their meetings, helped with their Annual Diabetes Awareness, and our Charity Ball's proceed was donated to them.

Canned-Food Drive: This was held for the month of October, which we collectedf canned food and was donated to Salvation Army for their Halloween Feast.

Unicef: This was held on October 31, 2004, which we collected money for the children with illnesses.

Sugar Plum Tree: We picked a name from the tree and gave presents for this person for Christmas. We also helped by wrapping on December 13, 2003 at 8-11am at Bank of Hawaii.

Special Olympics: We helped the students from Price Elementary in which we guided them in their events of sports. This even was held on April 24, 2004 at 6:30am-12pm at John F. Kennedy High School Field.

Read-A-Thon: In this service, we helped count the money and typed in all the data. We also promoted the week of reading awareness and won books for our school. We also participated in counting and lableing over 18,000 books to be distributed to every public school as part of the First Lady's H.O.P.E. Foundation.

Tutoring: This service was held every month-Tuesday's and Thursday's for the school year of 2003-2004 at 1:20-2:00pm at our school, in which we helped and tutored our fellow students.

Parent-Teach Conference Hosting: We did this service every semester at our school in which we hosted and guided the parents that goes to our PTC. These hostings were held on November 05, 2003 and April 14, 2004 at 11am-7pm.

Teacher's Helpers: In this service, we helped our teachers cleaned their classrooms for the end and beginning of the school year. These were held on June 04, 2003 and August 17, 2003 at 8-10am at our school.

Teacher's Appreciation Week: During the week of teachers held this month, May, we gave a tribute to our teachers by giving them treats and helped them with their classrooms by cleaning it for them.

Student Leadership Week: Held on April 18-24, 2004, we acknowledged all the leaders in our schools by giving them certificate of leadership and also had trivia questions.

Major Accomplishments

Charity Ball "Celebrating a Chinese New Year"
This event was held on January 31, 2004 at6-11pm at Palace Chinese Restaurant, Guam Plaza Hotel. We promoted and celebrated the true meaning of a Chinese New Year in which we had the Chinese students from the Chinese School danced the traditional Dragon Dance. Our proceed was also donated to the Guam Diabetes Association.

Induction
THis was held on November 22, 2003 at 9:30am-3pm at Matapang Ballroom, Holiday Inn. We inducted 17 new members in our chapter.

End of the Year Banquet
This was held on May 08, 2004 at 9:30am-2pm at Rambie Kamayan Restaurant, in which we installed the new officers for the school year of 2004-2005 and also acknowledged the accomplishments of the members in our chapter. We also had the "Most Inspirational Teachers" for the graduating seniors in which they gave a tribute-speech and gifts to their most inspirational teachers throughout their high school years.
