Duties and Responsibilities
STATE EDUCATION AGENCY (SEA) Administrative Assistants: Assist the State Monitors in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of assigned projects, programs and related activities to ensure compliance and accountability with Title V-A guidelines and policies; assist State Monitors in the review, preparation and maintenance of program reports and budgets; prepare, review and monitor program requests for stipend/vendor payments, requisitions, travel and work orders; provide assistance in the collection, analysis and reporting of program data; provide technical assistance for program related activities; responsible for the establishment, maintenance and control of program records.
LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCY (LEA) Administrative Assistants: Assist the State Coordinators in the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of approved Title V-A programs to LEA’s; assist State Coordinators via LEA’s in the review, analyze and approve program budget request(s); assist State Coordinators in program related research, data analysis and evaluation; establish and maintain communication with off- and on-island counterparts to ensure compliance with program criteria; assist State Coordiantors via LEA’s on the review of applications or proposals for new or continuing programs for efficacy, budgetary requirements and needs, and program design conformance; assist LEA’s in the preparation of reports for local and/or federal authorities. |
